Recipe for YAM PIE Ingredients -A stick and a half of butter -half cup of white sugar -half cup of brown sugar -two eggs -cup of whipped cream cheese -about a cup of yams (canned) -2 tsp vanilla -nutmeg -ginger -cinnamon (the Christmas trifecta) Melt a stick and a half of butter and combine with the sugars. Cream the yams into there. I probably should have used a mixer to get the yam chunks out, but I didn’t have one. Crack the two eggs and stir vigorously. Combine with the cheese. The color is gonna look gross, so put in the cinnamon and vanilla to make it look more healthy. Add a lot of ginger (if you are comfortable, taste it to make sure it’s spicy to your liking). Scoop contents into a pie shell and cook for longer than you think you should at 350 F. Then stick it in the fridge for a few hours.
